AFC CUP : Kitchee FC 2-0 Terengganu

KUALA TERENGGANU, March 20 (Bernama) -- The hot and humid weather failed to stop Hong Kong club side Kitchee FC from overcoming Terengganu 2-0 in their AFC Cup Group F match at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium here this afternoon.

The match was played in the blistering afternoon heat since the floodlights at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium did not meet the requirement set by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to play night matches.

Terengganu, despite playing at home and in front of about 10,000 fans, found the going tough against the Hong Kong Division One champions, conceding the first goal on the stroke of half time (44th minute) through Jorge Tarres Paramo, a striker from Spain.

Terengganu's best chance to level the match came in the 55th minute through Liberian import Francis Forkey Doe's well timed pass to Abdul Shukur Jusoh but the midfield player shot wide.
