PKNS stunned Super League leaders Singapore LionsXII with a 1-0 win in Petaling Jaya yesterday but defending champions Kelantan failed to take full advantage when they were held 1-1 by T-Team in Kota Baru.

Guadeloupe international Mickael Nicoise's fifth league goal gave PKNS just their third win and ended the visitors' four-match winning run.

Kelantan, however, were only able to reduce the gap at the top to five points, albeit with three games in hand, after Khairul Izwan Khalid scored in the 74th minute to cancel out Nurul Azwan Roya's 44th-minute goal for Kelantan.

Terengganu ended a two-match losing run in all competitions when they edged Negri Sembilan, who had defender Marian Farbak dismissed for two bookings in the 80th minute, 1-0 in Kuala Terengganu.

S. Kunanlan's own goal, after deflecting an Ashaari Samsuddin shot in the 67th minute, separated the sides at the final whistle after Terengganu had wasted several opportunities with Ashaari hitting the post in the seventh minute.

Lazar Popovic finally broke his duck in what was probably his last match as his late goal completed Perak's 3-1 come-from-behind win over Sabah at the Likas Stadium.

The Serbian striker, whose contract is about to be terminated, only played after Perak failed to secure new Cameroonian signing Albert Bodjongo's international transfer certificate in time and ensured his farewell was on a positive note with his first goal of the season in the 90th minute.

Zainizam Marjan headed Sabah into the lead with barely two minutes gone but Akmal Rizal Ahmad Rakhli equalised in the 65th minute.Mafry Balang's own goal two minutes later put Perak in the lead.

A late Bosko Balaban goal earned Selangor a 1-1 draw with Johor FC in Pasir Gudang after the home team went ahead in the 19th minute when Riduan Maon drilled in a grounder from inside the box from Arthuro Bernhardt's pass.
