LIONS maintained their position at the top of the Super League by humiliating PKNS FC 5-0 yesterday while Selangor marked their return to the Shah Alam Stadium for the first time this season with a 2-0 win over Johor FC.

The Singapore side kept their five-point lead over second-placed Kelantan, who came from behind to beat T-Team 2-1, but the east coast side have three matches in hand.

Lions dominated the first half and deservingly took a 3-0 lead through Safuwan Baharuddin (17th minute), Shaiful Esah (19th) and Sevki Sha'ban (26th)

In Kuala Terengganu, Kelantan found it hard to break past T-Team's backline in the absence of Norshahrul Idlan Talaha and Indra Putra Mahayuddin, who were both left on the bench.

Kelantan coach Bojan Hodak then brought on Norshahrul after the break but it was the homesters who drew first blood through Khairul Izwan Khalid's header in the 53rd minute.
