SUPER LEAGUE : Perak 0-2 Kelantan

Nasril Nourdin's fumble in the 10th minute was the highlight of the game as Perak were sunk by a technically astute Red Warriors.

Kelantan are currently on fire in the Super League as they continued their gallant form by beating home side Perak, 2-0. Bojan Hodak's side were brilliant technically as they managed to shut down Perak's attacks and took advantage from set-pieces.

Goals from Daudsu Jamaluddin and Zairul Fitree Ishak were the difference between both sides as Perak were absymal in front of their home crowd. Nasril Nourdin's fumble in the 10th minute summed up Perak's day as the Malaysian reserve goalkeeper misjudged an audacious free-kick from former Johor FC wingback, Daudsu Jamaluddin.

Kelantan drew first blood in the second-half as S.Chanturu's shot was smothered by Nasril Nourdin after receiving a telling cross from veteran, Indra Putra Mahayuddin.

Perak clawed back as Shahrulnizam Mustapha initiated a brilliant move which saw Akmal finding nippy Fazrul Hazli who placed a shot in front of goal only to be blocked by Nigerian defender, Obinna Nwaneri.

The moment of truth came in the 10th minute when Nasril Nourdin misjudged a free kick from Daudsu Jamaluddin. An audacious chip from the 27-year-old saw Nasril being caught off-guard as the goalkeeper couldn't do anything to save the shot.

After that, things started to swing in Kelantan's favour as they poured forward in attack and constantly pressured the central defensive partnership of Khairy Zainuddin and K.Nanthakumar. Perak relied on counter attacks but the likes of Failee Ghazali and Fazrul Hazli squandered their chances.

Nwoha Onyekachi, who was back in the starting line up wasn't impressive as the Nigerian was well marked by K.Nanthakumar and was even booked for simulation.

In the 24th minute, Zairul Fitree Ishak scored the second goal after curling in a brilliant free-kick past Nasril Nourdin. Zairul who was in the starting eleven due to Abdul Aziz Ismail's injury was in full flight after the goal as the veteran defender marauded the wings and pressured Syazwan Roslan constantly.

In the second-half, Perak were on the offensive as they searched for the elusive goal. The likes of Lazar Popovic, Rafiuddin Roddin and Nazri Kamal were brought in to inject some freash legs but it was enough to penetrate the stout defense led by Obina Nwaneri and Farisham Ismail.

Lazar Popovic, constantly under pressure due to his goal drought created few goalscoring chances but his team-mates blew their chances away as the fans kept on cheering for the home side.

In the ending minutes of the game, Slovakian midfielder, Michal Kubala came close twice to break the deadlock for Perak. In the 87th minute, the 32-year-old managed to wiggle his way past the Kelantan defence and with only the goal in front of him, he opted for a pass and the Kelantan defence managed to clear it away.

The last chance of the game came a minute from the end, when Kubala's free-kick hit the post as Kelantan survived a last minute onslaught from the 'Kejor Yeop Kejor' side.

Kelantan continue to top the standings while Perak are on a dreadful run as they have yet to chalk-up a win in 5 games.
